All Things Fulffilled In The1st Century
by maccauk11 inall things were fulfilled in the 1st century.it was obvious the messiah was talking to the people in that generation not a generation 2000 years later.. christianity has for 2000 years placed itself in the shoes of those 1st century beleivers and think all things pertainott hem today.when infact none of it does.
the prohecise of the messiah cmae true in the 1st century including revelation which is symbolic, metaphorical apocolyptic language showing all tha thad been done .
the kingdom is here.the king rules and has done for 2000 years.

JULY 15th Study Watchtower - NEW LIGHT IS FANTASY
by The Searcher inthe july 15 study watchtower uses all 4 study articles to try to inculcate into every witnesses' mind that the governing body is indisputably god's sole channel of communication on earth.
to do so, it uses a multitude of scriptures along with seriously flawed un-inspired reasoning.
the foundation stone of this watchtower's blatant agenda is the claim that when jesus used only a few to dispense the physical food to the many, he was setting a principle which would be applied to the distribution of spiritual food after he returned to heaven.

this week end at our assembly the CO in one of his talks said that many are not liking the new watchtower
Yes he actually said this at the circuit assembly. The context was that if you don't agree with what jw's teach then you are an opposer. Talk about not holding the punches. This is a great revelation that the rank and file are talking about this. A brother at the hall asked me if I read it yet and I said in a downhearted way "yes I read it" their was a moment of silence and then he laughed and dropped it. Wish I could have read his mind.

If man evolved?
by tornapart ini know anyone who believes in evolution is going to say that there is no 'if' about it.
however.... if man evolved over hundreds of thousands of years ago, why were there only about 200-300 million people alive 2,000 years ago?
surely there'd have been many billions by then?.

The post about expotential growth is a very good one. But the timing factor I think says it all. 200 thousand years of humanity and it only took 100 years to go from 1 billion to 7 billion. It is also hard to trust a study on DNA since most scientific studies are often countered by newer scientific studies.

It got to be hard being a JW today!!!!
by jam ini can understand why they think the end is near.. in the old days, one was proud to be a jw (well maybe.
not for you young ones) but for us that came in the 60,s.
and 70,s, we felt no shame in our game.

Never had anyone use that scripture on me. The one thing that strikes me now though, is even though I thought I was winning these debates, I never once was able to convince anyone otherwise. I now see why. The bible is clear as to the deity of Christ. The only persons I could ever teach the jw doctrine about Jesus were ones that had no previous studies on the subject.
